Not only did I enjoy the interview, but I found myself answering the questions with myself and conducting my own little mental interview. I love the concept of Behind the Substack and look forward to more :)
I'm glad to hear that. I like the idea of "conducting own little mental interview", that's awesome. It can work greatly as self-reflection and realise, you've progress and learned so much. Thank you for engaging, Scholar.
I really enjoyed that! Great questions and wonderful answers! @Lauren: I just started reformer pilates and for whatever reason, all the instructor this week decided to focus on abs and I don't think I've ever sneezed and had sore abs before!! So lovely to get to know you more, and I can so relate to writing in one form or another all your life. xx Well done @Jana on a successful launch of your series!
That is so great to hear! Thank you for reading it! @Lauren has done a fantastic job with the answers. Putting it together was tremendous teamwork. The feedback received so far is positive. I could not be happier π
So very helpful, Jane, to see and learn how others "navigate" time and commitments and stay focused. I was tempted to DM you and say yes, I would consider as the exercise in answering the questions might bring more clarity to where I am currently, clarity to be singularly focused and not feel so scattered over the writing landscape. Or maybe I will try and answer your good questions for myself as I finish my first cup o' coffee after "working and writing" for the past hour and a half. I was up and at it at 4:30 AM. Love the whole notion of "behind the substack" and a coffee break as I go for my 2nd and final cup for today. Breakfast later and on we go. For now, I will try and absorb Lauren's good work.
Ah, thank you, Gary. I am so glad you found it helpful and are enjoying this series. That was the whole idea behind it: to share tips, challenges and recommendations, to view how others 'navigate' their Substack journeys and use it to improve our ways and make the process easier. I appreciate you and your input. As you said, you could self-reflect based on the questions from this interview. Yet, you could share your way with others; if you decide to do so, DM me anytime. I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for your time and engagement. Enjoy Lauren's excellent work and the breakfast π.
Refreshing to read, thank you Jana. Sometimes what you are looking for you find it! I hav been reading about 'how to write or how to improve your writing' etc and jus read so many actionable things from Lauren. Thank you both βΊοΈ
Thank you, Saima. I found the same when I was reading Lauren's tips. There are so many tips, Substack publications, and books I need to check out and read. You're most welcome βΊοΈ.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you on this, Jana! It's been a pleasure to reflect on and share my thoughts and experiences. ππ§βοΈβ
I'm glad to hear that, Lauren. It's been a joint effort. Thank you for being so gracious and supportive along the way and for providing many tips and learning nuggets π.
Itβs so refreshing to meet the person behind a newsletter. I love this interview idea.
Agreed, Neera! ππ

Hahaha thanks for sharing the "pain" of reformer pilates! π Sneezing/laughing with sore abs is the worst!
But it's so great to hear you could reasonate with, and enjoyed this - thank you for reading, and sharing.
And well done again to Jana for a great interview! X
