Lucy, your story is a testament to the power of resilience and reinvention. It's inspiring to see how you've merged your business expertise with your childhood love for writing. It makes me wonder, if you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?
Love the idea of sharing behind the scenes stories from Substack writers! We’re a diverse group with very different daily lives, schedules, writing styles, etc.
And I’d be happy to answer questions about my Substack journey (have published weekly since early 2022), writing process, and other work.
Thank you, Wendi! That is exactly it. We are all so different and have different approaches. There was no repetition in any of the nice interviews I've published so far and those to come. Also, I would love to feature you. I will send the questionnaire link in DMs--Thank you
One thing I love about Lucy is how transparent she is with why she is writing, the financial goals she has set for herself, etc. It helps build trust with her audience. Plus I agree with Suzanne, keeping note of all the questions your audience has and answering them is a great idea. Thanks so much for doing this, Jana, and appreciate Lucy sharing what she knows, as always!
You're most welcome, Mack. I am glad you took a lot out of this interview. One of the things that interested me about Lucy was the goal you set for yourself, the amazing reason behind it, and her transparency. As an introverted one, I need someone like Lucy to pull me out of my comfort zone to promote and get involved. That is why I am part of the Hype yourself community—I highly recommend it.
I like the idea of curating all the questions you get asked, using that as a basis for posts and I wonder if there's a way of me being able to do that efficiently across the number of channels in which I host Sex Advice for Seniors.
Curating all the questions from readers and responding to them in the posts is a hidden gem. I also appreciated learning this particular one from Lucy. Thank you for being here, Suzanne. Also, I like the idea for your publication.
It really helps because I can also start to group them in themes and I’ll see which ones are really popular versus what is maybe just some bespoke one-to-one advice

Great question, Alex
What a great idea, Jana, to do this interview. Love the format, nicely done!
😍 thanks for reading my words
Thank you, Karen. I consider you one of the Substack experts, so your kind words mean a lot ❤️

Wow 90 posts in draft! That's amazing! Your consistency and dedication is inspiring! 💪🏻
Natasha, I had the same thought—I thought, with 90 posts in drafts, I better up my game🫣.
To be total transparent some of those are just titles of ideas! Some are more baked 🤣
😂😂
